Under the Gaming Control Act, the charities that hold Certificates of Affiliation to a Commercial Bingo Hall are required to form an Association. The authority and responsibilities of the Association comes from its Certificate of Affiliation to a Commercial Bingo Hall.

Our responsibilities are:

• Represent the interests of its member organizations and deal equitably with and among them.
• Distribute all information and documents to its member organizations as the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch may require.
• Schedule the activities of its member organizations to ensure each member organization fulfills its obligations under its Certificate.
• Monitor its members’ activities to ensure each member organization meets its obligations under its Certificate of Affiliation.
• Immediately advise the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch if any of its member organization fail to meet their obligations.

In turn the responsibilities of the organizations affiliated with Playtime Bingo
are to:

• Promote awareness of your organization at the bingo hall and outside the bingo hall for a specified number of hours each year.
• Provide Out of Hall plans annually in advance to the Association
• Ensure your organization has enough volunteers willing to fulfill all in-hall and out-of-hall time commitments. The certificate of affiliation will indicate the approved amount of revenue and the corresponding time commitment.
